Voter Registration

Oregon’s voter registration deadline, for new registrations, is 21 days before election day. Updates to registration information can be made through election day. 

  • To register to vote in Oregon, you must be:
    • A U.S. citizen
    • A resident of Oregon
    • At least 16 years old
      • If you are not yet 18 years of age, you will not receive a ballot until an election occurs on or after your 18th birthday.​​
  • If you are experience housing instability or houselessness, you can still register to vote.
    • When registering to vote, your residence address can be any physical location within the county that describes where you spend time, such as a shelter, park or cross street. Your mailing address is where your ballot will be mailed. You can choose to use options such as General Delivery at a post office or to pick up your ballot at your local county election office.
  • Those who have been convicted of a felony have their voting rights restored once they are no longer incarcerated.

Am I registered to Vote?

Go to OregonVotes.gov/MyVote to check on your current registration. Please note, if you are under 18 years old, or a confidential voter, you will not be able to track the status of your registration online. 

Register to Vote

  • If you have a valid Oregon drivers’ license or identification card, you can register online at www.OregonVotes.gov/Register.
  • If you have access to a printer, you can use one of the below links to print an Oregon Voter Registration Card.

  • Physical Oregon Voter Registration Cards are also available at your local post office, library, city hall and at the courthouse in Coquille. Please contact the election office if you need help getting an Oregon Voter Registration Card.
  • If you are a member of the military or currently out of the country, it is important that you register using the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). To learn more about voting while in the military or out of the country, visit OregonVotes.gov/Military and FVAP.gov.

Update Your Registration

You can update your voter registration using the same methods as registering to vote. 

  • Online at OregonVotes.gov/MyVote
    • Unavailable for confidential voters and those under 18 years of age.
  • With a physical Voter Registration Card found at your local post office, library, city hall and at the courthouse in Coquille
  • By printing, completing and submitting a PDF version of the Oregon Voter Registration Card.
  • Military and voters outside of the country should use the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to update their registration.

Cancel Your Registration

To cancel your voter registration, complete the below form and submit it your county election office. Please note, this action will not remove you from a possible jury selection.
