Become a Volunteer or Foster!

Interested in becoming a Volunteer? 

It's easy! You can pick up an application at the shelter or fill out our Volunteer Application
You must be 18 years old, 16 years old with a parent or guardian, and pass a simple background check. Then you'll be on your way to making last memories, building bonds and helping homeless animals!

We are looking for a 1 day a week commitment for about 4 hours:

~ We understand this does not work for everyone and are happy to have you when you're available.

AM: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

  • Dog Kennels: Picking up poop and cleaning dog kennels, washing dog bowls and resetting them for their next meal cleaning yards before open
  • Cat Kennels: Cleaning cat kennels, prepping their kennels with food water and a fresh litter pan for the day, washing litter pans, food and water bowls and starting laundry.

Mid Morning: 11:00 am - 1: 00 pm

  • General Cleaning: Sweeping and mopping the facility, cleaning bathrooms helping with left over dishes, laundry, other cleaning you may see or needed.

PM: 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

  • Dog Kennels: Cleaning out door dog kennels picking up remaining poop from the yards, emptying poop buckets and trash from the day.
  • General Cleaning: Helping with the remaining cleaning that needs done, catching up on the day's Laundry.

Volunteering may not be exactly what you need right now but if you're interested we are always looking for Fosters.

From Mom's with litters, puppies and kittens you make your choice and when we have need we will give you a call. You're always welcome to decline and always welcome to pause fostering for awhile.
