The District Attorney, in conjunction with the Medical Examiner, is charged with the investigation of deaths that occur as a result of homicide, accident, deaths that are unattended or deaths that are suspicious in nature. 

Ms. Kris Karcher is a Medicolegal Death Investigator.  Kris has worked in this capacity for Coos County since 1998.  Ms. Karcher is a Forensic Nurse who has been internationally recognized for her work as a Forensic Nurse. 

Julie in our office is the support staff person assigned to Medical Examiner matters.
