John started his career with Coos County in November of 2015 as a Deputy District Attorney.  He has been promoted to Chief Deputy District Attorney as of 2025. John earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Washington University in 2002 and his Master of Arts Degree from Pacific University in 2005.  He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from University of Oregon School of Law in 2015.  John is currently assigned to handle felony cases and Coos County Crash Team.
